What is Playt?

Our mission at Playt is to make any recipe shoppable. We convert the ingredients into a customisable shopping list and have our grocery partner pack them for you, ready for pickup or they can deliver directly to your door. Discover new recipes, save them to your recipe collection and shop the ingredients with a click of a button.

Discover Recipes

Choose from thousands of recipes on the popular recipe websites we’ve selected. There’s always something new to try. And whether you’re health nut, cooking for the family or a gourmet chef, there’s something for you.

Save Recipes

Found a recipe you like? Hit the “Save Recipe” button and it will be automatically stored into “My Recipes,” where it’s added to your recipe collection. Come back when you’re ready and the shop the recipe!

Shop Recipes

Is your mouth watering and you want to cook that recipe now? Hit the “Shop Recipe” button and the ingredients will be converted in shopping list. Here, you can add additional items, remove items, change quantities and select different products. Then complete the checkout, and the ingredients will be delivered to your door in no time.

Snap Recipes

Watch this space! Whilst this feature has not yet been released, we are working on the technology that will allow you to take a photo of the ingredients in a cookbook so we can automatically generate a shopping list for you. No longer will it be a mission for you to cook those beautiful mouthwatering recipes from your favourite cookbooks. Bring back the cookbook we say!

How do I get the ingredients?

We’ve partnered up with Woolworths as our affiliate grocery provider in Australia, so you can be assured that you’ll be getting fresh ingredients and fast delivery. Woolworths have two fulfilment options for you to choose from.

Pickup (formerly called Click & Collect) means Woolworths will pack your order in your local store and have it ready for you to collect from the start of your chosen collection window.

Delivery means Woolworths will pack your order and deliver it to your specified location within your chosen delivery timeframe.

Is there a minimum order amount?

Yes, there is a minimum order value depending on the fulfilment service you choose. Below are the order requirements for Delivery and Pickup.

Pickup - Minimum $30 basket, however they will get your order ready for free!

Delivery - Minimum $50 basket, with incremental delivery charges based on your basket size.

What is the cost of delivery?


Woolworths delivery fees are very competitive and the more you order the more you save, in fact all orders over $300 are delivered for FREE!

Can I get my order delivered to work?

This may differ depending on the type of building you work in, but we had our Woolworths delivery driver drop our shop off directly in our office. How is that for service! The best thing to do here is check with Woolworths Online first on [email protected] or speak to their team on 1800 000 610 just to make sure.

What if I live in a remote area?

To find out if Woolworths delivers to your area you can contact [email protected] or speak to their team on 1800 000 610.

Can I order more than one recipe?

Absolutely! Thanks to Woolworths different fulfillment options, you can plan your weekly meals and shopping cart using Playt and have everything conveniently delivered to your home, or you can decide what you want for dinner in the morning, and pick it up on your way home from work.

If you like being organised for the week, you can also subscribe to our weekly newsletter where we will send you weekly meal suggestions straight to your inbox.

Alternatively, if you prefer to decide what you want to eat as you go, you can subscribe to our easy dinner newsletter, so we can remind you to submit your order by 11am so you can pick up your order on the way home from work.

What if I don’t need an item included in the ingredients list?

Once the ingredients are added to your shopping list, you’ll have the option to remove items, as well as add additional items, change quantities and select different products.

What if I want to order things that aren’t on the recipe?

Never go to the supermarket again! Our intelligent search feature allows you to order any item that you can get from Woolworths. Simply type the description in the search bar and we will match it to as many possible items as we can. Happy grocery shopping!

Do I need an account to use Playt?

You don’t need an account to Discover and Save recipes. But, when you Shop recipes, you’ll need to create an account as we will need your billing and delivery details.

How can I trust giving you my credit card details?

We do not store your credit card information anywhere. In fact, we send your payment information directly to Woolworths Secure Payments System for them to process your order directly.

How do I know my groceries will be delivered safely?

We refer your order directly to Woolworths, so it will be in Woolworths trusted hands. They will deliver your groceries using their professional delivery fleet.  

How do I get information about my delivery?

You can track your order using your Woolworths reference number on Woolworths Online Track My Order system. Alternatively, you can call Woolworths Customer Service number on 1800 000 610.

What if I am missing an ingredient?

Our default setting is for Woolworths professional shoppers to replace your ordered item with a suitable replacement if your chosen one is not available in store. We recommend you keep this setting so that you don’t have missing ingredients, however, you can change this setting in the checkout process on the confirm order screen before you submit the order.

What if my delivery order is incorrect or the ingredients are damaged?

You should contact Woolworths Customer Service team on 1800 000 610 and quote your Woolworths Order number immediately.

How do I get more information about my grocery delivery?

The best way to be informed about your delivery is to visit Woolworths Online Help directly.

What if the Playt system isn’t working correctly?

Your feedback is critical for us. Please inform us of any system issues by emailing us to [email protected] and provide us the details of your issue and the approximate time you were experiencing them.
